About this blog

Ex-physiotherapist?

When unfolding this blog we gave the blog a working title “Experiences of a ex-physiotherapist”. Ex-physiotherapist, because I do not feel like I am a physiotherapist anymore but a “Critical Developmental Accompanist” and a “Fasciatherapist”. Long time ago , when the animals talked, that’s when I was a physiotherapist.

For fysiotherapists

When publicising the site we adjusted the title “Experiences of a physiotherapist”, because physiotherapists are an important target group for this blog.

When physiotherapists want more information about critical developmental accompaniment or fasciatherapy (how practically the work is being done or which results are attained etc…) they are at the right address. I am lucky to have a variety of patients: enough exiting material to fill this blog.

For Students

Students training in both methods ,will find lots of practical advice to put the methods into practice. Patient stories, films etc will be used. In this way I will try to pass on the method from my point of view and how I use it. This could be a possible accompaniment in the course training.

For patients ans parents

Patients and parents of children whom I accompagny, will find more explanation about the treatments. Sadely enough time is sparse to give extra information about what I have done at times. Lots of common questions will be looked at. I will systematically try and talk through these in the blog, hence your understanding will improve of what is happening during the treatment when I am working with my eyes closed (Fasciatherapy) or when your child is lying on the treatment coach and you as a parent are waiting in the waiting area (Critical Developmental Accompaniment).

“Behind the scenes”

The “Critical Developmental Accompaniment according to Hendrickx” and the “Fasciatherapy, method Danis Bois” are two fantastic concepts. I feel privileged to be working over 10 years with Prof. Hendrickx and Prof. Bois. On this blog I will put testimonies at regular intervals about the interactions with both professors, or about the meetings held with the professional societies. That way you will get the news from “behind the scenes”.
